Science has developed through many different stages but is mainly built upon humans philosophising about nature.

The actual word science can be traced back to the Latin word scientia, which meant knowledge. In the years since the European world went through what's been called 'The Scientific Revolution’, the world has seen a general reduction in the mysteries that fill the gap between knowledge and ignorance. Despite all the answers that have been provided, some of the biggest questions of early civilisations are still around today; with each question generating loads of other questions as time passes and study progresses. Fortunately, better types of communication has enabled the majority of the world to share their knowledge and solutions more easily.

Because of technology and science, knowledge is being gathered at an ever growing rate.
